Christmas Programs

This year the kids school did a few Christmas programs, which was a lot of fun. Jenna and Hailey both did one, but for some reason Spencer's grade didn't. Anyway, here are a few pictures of them at their programs.

Making a Fashion Statement

So, Sunday morning Jenna comes upstairs in this outfit to go to church...I could barely contain my giggles, but Kasey just burst out laughing! Then he got the camera and chased Jenna all around the house to get a picture. She wouldn't let him take one, but I managed to talk her into letting me take one. I told her that she'd appreciate it when she was older - I hope that's true!!

It's not the shirt and skirt that makes me laugh as much as the white shoes with the black tights. Everytime I think about this it makes me smile!! I was able to convince her to wear her black shoes for church, so we were the only ones who had the joy of seeing this latest fashion trend...Here's hoping we don't have a repeat of this next week!!

The Day of Four Outfits

So, I've been debating for a while about doing a blog. We've had reservations about how public it can be, and I haven't been able to decide. But after today I decided that I needed a place to tell stories like today that other people can read (mostly my mom!!). So - here we are!

Today Rachel has had to change her clothes four times. That's right - four! She pooped right out of three outfits until at about 6 pm I put her in her PJ's. This isn't typical for her. I think she is getting me back for taking her shopping all day yesterday and the day before. Good thing we stayed home today!

Another funny story about Rachel - a few weeks ago we took the kids to get their second Swine flu shot at the Health Department. When we pulled up Rachel had pooped all over herself in the car. It was messy!! So I took her in the bathroom to clean her up, where I discover that like the good mother I am I had forgotten to put an extra outfit in the diaper bag for her. So here we are at the Health Department Building with my naked child in only a diaper and wrapped in a blanket in the middle of November to get a flu shot. Am I the White Trash Mother of the Year or what!!
